Pigmar Warhammer 40,000 2012/13 League

Postby Ankers666 » Tue Jul 10, 2012 12:33 pm

As of 7th August 2012, the 40k Pigmar ELO league will be running. All games of 40k played by Pigmar members will be added to the league.

Here are some notes to keep in mind

- The system will run for a full year (7/8/12 to 30/6/13), after which the top 4 or 8 will go through to a mini knockout, to decide the grand champion

- It will be the responsibility of the Victor to inform me of the game result (in the case of a draw, the player further down the table), as they are the player with the most to lose

- All game results must be written on the white board the night they happen, imputting the results in the correct order is important.

-There will be no challenge system

-Any game of 40k will be added (friendly, campaign or mini-torny)

-Minimum of 10 games over the next year must be played to be considered for Knockout Round

-All current codex's and FAQ will be used for all armies, with a 2 week grace period after a new release.

Any Ideas or suggestions please PM me, or leave a message here

Thanks and good luck

When you say "any game of 40K will be added", does either player have a sort of 'right of veto' there? Do both players have to agree for a game not to be played for league points, or does it count for the league if either player wants it to?

Also, is it only "all the rules and nothing but the rules" games that count? By which I mean, if you'd agreed to use no allies, or were playing a home made scenario, or had otherwise deviated from rules-as-written, you could still count those?

Basically, is it entirely down to the players involved whether a game counts towards the league or not?

For the fantasy league, it's been up-to the players and we've played all sorts of different scenarios and included some and not others. I agree with Ian, that it is up the players if they wish to add the result to the league - this should be decided before the game preferably. :)

I think it's best if games are only counted if BOTH players agree (preferably before the game).

well, first match of the league was a draw between Philip and myself, marked it up on the sheet - tho the sheet does lack a "draw" bit.....

I've completely forgotten to enter any games in xD This far I think I've lost to Dave, Rob, Dan and Jason, and beaten Jason and Dan. In 40k at least.

I note you mention mini-tourney games will be added. Does this mean that the 40k500 results will at some point be added?
