With p&p the mug comes to £17.50! (£5.50 for p&p). Is this too much?

That is a bit steep... perhaps we should find something cheaper?

quick question...

should the first place one say 'winner' or 'first place', seeing as we now have a second place prize too?

I also have a spreadsheet that works for the Swiss System. A copy is attached, it's quite slow if I remember correctly so might be worth seeing if we can find another one.

that one seems really very complicated..! I am sure it can't be that difficult to sort out a better sheet

Yeah, it is. Lots of data in there and one massive spreadsheet at about 13 meg once unzipped!

Probably worth looking for or creating a simpler one.

Also, were we pairing first round based on ELO rankings?

I have had a think about the swiss system sheet and think it can be done very easily and on one sheet... I mocked one up here in numbers but will make one in a decent program this weekend... the only thing it probably won't do is record who played who each game if I go with my current thoughts but that won't be impossible to make a record of!

I think if I can get something to work fr tuesday it could form the basis of a more refined version for use at mayhem also...

I like the idea of initial pairings based on the ELO rankings

RE ELO seeding in 1st round - Does that mean I'll be playing Grum in the first round?

Pairings based on ranking usually pits top seed against bottom to start off with. Not saying we have to do that though, I'm fine with random!
