So, with Fantasy currently in the crysylis of evolution I thought I'd look at some other systems whilst things settle down. One of these is Bolt Action (which I've got a small force of USMC for), which I demomonstrated at the Demo Night. Other than that, I'd be more interested in getting into something ancient. More specifically I've got the rules for Hail Ceasar (by Rick Priestly) and De Belis Antiquitatis (DBA for short). I also have 2 6mm armies (cheaper and less storage) in the form of some republican romans and some celts.
The question is, would anyone want to join me in trying out these games, considering I can provide a second army for use, and in the long term does anyone think they'd be interested in playing more of anything historic?
Murphy's Laws of Combat (excerpts);
- If it's stupid but it works, it isn't stupid
- Never forget that your weapon was made by the lowest bidder
- Field experience is something you don't get until just after you need it
